Edward Jewett was the eighth President of the Norwich Rotary Club, serving in the 1928-29 year.
He was born June 5th, 1891, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the son of William Robert Jewett and his wife Susan Lee (Fitch). The elder Mr. Fitch moved his family to Norwich in the 1890s. Edward Jewett married his wife Hazel (Swan).
He was the President of A.C. Swan Company, a company started by his father-in-law. He started with the company as a traveling tire salesman. A.C. Swan Company sold tires and was located at 15 Oneco Street in Norwich, which would have put it near the current location of the Arc New London County, which would later be led by future President Kathleen Stauffer.
Edward Jewett passed away on June 28th, 1963.
