Visiting District Governor Kevin Reich was the first among many to offer encomiums for President Mary’s tenure as club president. Others offered plaudits and other comments:
- Mike Gordon offered thanks to Mary for her service; Nancy Gentes did likewise and commented favorably on the Red Sox sweep of the Yankees; Gary Young followed suit and spoke of a golf outing with Stan and Rodney. Mike Cooney offered his thanks and described an eventful scout hike to Mount Misery. Erin praised Mary for an outstanding job. Barry offered profuse gratitude to Mary and to Andy Nollman for his steeping in as president. Andy Grant did likewise and talked about his socks and his grandson. Stan thanked both Mary and Andy and allowed that he is buying property in Costa Rica. His son is smitten! Bob Reed said kind words and pledged to buy a goat in Mary’s honor. Rodney related his experience at Goats Do Roam, a South African winery.

Special Events!
- The past club presidents were recognized for their service to the club. Andy Nollman awarded a Paul Harris fellowship to Mike Cooney for his contributions; Mary received a magnificent plaque and a Paul Harris Fellowship for her strong and effective leadership. Mary reflected on the many challenges that the club confronted during the past year and the considerable amount that was accomplished despite the vicissitudes.
- Andy reflected on his first term as president and the need for a group effort to ensure the club’s future. We need new members and active and energetic participants.
