Happy Dollars: – Rodney Green
*Rodney started things off saying he was happy to be back after vacationing in Aruba with friends and family. Unfortunately some of the people he has known for many years down there are no longer with us. He was supposed to have spent 3 weeks there but this year he was only able to spend 10 days due to unforeseen circumstances. Rodney also dropped his membership at the Pautipaug Country Club seeing that he only golfed a few times last season and the cost worked out to be over $50.00 a hole.
*Gary Young was happy to report that he has at long last found a home to buy in Griswold and the closing is next month. He’s selling a bunch of stuff at the big weekly flea market off Rt. 85 to not fill the new house with unwanted things. 10% discount if you mention Rotary!
*Roz Etra wished all a Happy Easter and Passover. She and Joel had Rodney and Lucille over to their house for Passover Seder. She said Rodney slapped the brisket and gave it his seal of approval! Roz also gave $10.00 Happy Dollars in honor of Joel’s 10th anniversary of receiving a lifesaving kidney from his daughter!
*Mike Matera enjoyed a nice Easter Brunch with his parents and also got yard work done. He also fixed a malfunctioning clothes dryer thanks to a YouTube “How To” video and his wife was happy, but also somewhat sad that she will not be getting a new dryer!
*Stan Lucas reported he had 6 stiches in his finger and he’s happy Gary has found a new house but sad to lose a tenant.
*Mary Richardson welcomed Keith Caplet and was happy to see him after a long absence.
*Andy Nollman said he had a great Passover with his family as well as a nice Easter dinner with his wife Lona!
*Mike Cooney welcomed Keith Caplet. He also said he has made numerous updates to the club’s website. Last Tuesday his beloved laptop that he had for many years died. New one arrived and works great! Also his up-coming schedule is going to be crazy trying to keep up with his son and daughter’s sports schedules.
*Alexis Kahn was happy to bring Keith Caplet to the meeting. She is also happy to have graduated from a 2 year program form the CT School of Financial Management and was happy Chelsea Groton supported her through the process. She also announced that Mandy Crispim has joined the management team.
Auction: Andy Grant will donate $20.00.
Monthly Rotary Trivia: Stay Tuned.
Lottery: – Kathryn Tracy
Stan Lucas, Rodney Green & Mike Matera drew cards and did not find the Ace of Spades. Mike Matera won the cookies.
