Announcements:

by President Mike. In stentorian tones, we received news of the Trivial Pursuit Challenge on November 15. Suggestions for riveting speakers are welcome. Forget not the Liberty bank $20 challenge. Though delayed the winter coats have passed their safety inspection and will arrive shortly. Happy dollars are available for those in need. Thank you to Jen Granger for coordinating the dictionary project. Are you an Arlo Guthrie fan? Do you know who he is? Find out on November 22 at the Milford Performance Center; Milford, CT. Nancy Gentes filed a successful grant request for $5,000 with Chelsea Groton Bank! Huzzah! Anticipate web site changes! We are leaving Club Runner. Aloha. Despite unseemly importuning from several quarters, President Mike resisted calls to remind members to silence their cell phones.

Correspondence: No

Presentation:  None observed or delivered

Service person of the Month: Another time

Happy Dollars: With Jen Granger! Jen averred that she is happy not to be ill. Paul wished Rodney a happy birthday and lauded Erin for her work with the Terri Brodeur Breast Cancer Foundation. He also presented her with a much-coveted pink umbrella! Bill C. thanked the club for its support of the Conversations on Race project. Mike G. gave for his grandson and Gary Young. Barry offered an effusive but tasteful welcome to Rick Vezner. Gary Young did likewise. He also noted that when he and Stan Lucas play tennis as a team they represent 147 years of experience and acumen. Tom Adams graciously contributed $20 for Liberty Bank’s challenge.

Auction: Jen presented a stunning array of Halloween treats, none of which was on Barry’s list of unpopular and execrable candy. After a paused for group reflection on the true meaning of Halloween, Marie Osborne’s $15 bid was received enthusiastically.

 Lottery: with Rich Pascal:

Keith Caplet-No!

Rick Vezner-No!

Tom Adams-No!

The loud and unearthly sounds that greeted Barry at Fellowship suddenly resumed. A few disaffected members threatened to counter with acapella versions of Arlo Guthrie’s greatest hits but were immediately subdued and tranquilized.

Program: Club Assembly President Mike carefully guided the club through the arcane steps required to post information on the new web site. The same procedures can also be used to design a portable nuclear reactor.

The Four-Way Test: Was recited in the correct order.
