FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Norwich Rotary Clubs, in conjunction with the Norwich Woman’s City Club is seeking nominations for the 2022 Norwich Native Son/Daughter Award. This award, which was first presented in 1968 as part of the Rose Arts Festival, has been awarded to an impressive list of Norwich natives. Due to COVID, there were no recipients in 2020 or 2021.
We’ve had Pulitzer Prize winners, Grammy Award winners, NCAA basketball coaches, doctors, teachers, generals, and ambassadors. We’ve honored NFL players, brewers, and even the man who invented spell check. We even had the guy who helped launch the careers of comedians like Jay Leno and Jerry Seinfeld. It’s s truly impressive list of honorees.
You can find a complete listing of past honorees, with biographies by visiting https://www.norwichrotaryevents.org/native.
Now it’s time to add another impressive Norwich native to that list.
