Program:
Bob Farwell introduced Ann Shapiro, Executive Director of the Connecticut Storytelling Center at Connecticut College.  The Center strives to provide the means for people of all ages to experience stories as a means of expression and communication, as a tool for thinking, reflecting, teaching and learning, and as a catalyst for change.  The Center has programs for all ages.  Ann shared the story of a debate between Yankel and a king.
Marie closed our meeting with this inspirational quote.
We need to learn to love ourselves first, in all our glory and our imperfections. If we cannot love ourselves, we cannot be fully open to our ability to love others or our potential to create.  Evolution and all hopes for a better world rest in the fearlessness and open hearted vision of people who embrace life.
