Announcements:

President Mary Richardson had the following announcements:  Grant funds of $5000 have been received! That represents about 23,000 diapers! Next will be ordering. Mike Matera has graciously agreed to receive at his location on West Main Street. We will be asking for help with sorting labeling, and delivering. Ways to promote.

Virtual Bingo Night with Stratford Rotary on Thursday, May 27th at 7PM.

Rose Garden Luncheon. Mike Goldblatt Luncheon.

Change of Command on June 30th.

Discussion about a Carnival for this Fall. Suki has checked with the City and we are working on possible dates and a location.

Golf is September 1st.

Membership Chair and committee. It’s not the quantity of members, but the type of members. What kind of new members do we need? Young? Business professionals? Representing local corporations with sponsorship? Government representatives?

Susy Challenge. I invited Kathy Allen, Paula Oberg, Marilyn Lowney, and Kathleen Stauffer. Annemarie Bellenoit from The ARC will join us regularly starting soon. Paula Oberg from Martin House will come on April 7th. I also invited Claire Bessette from The Day. I invited Mayor Peter Nystrom and Deb Monahan.

Please contact Bob Farwell or Kevin Wickless if you have a guest speaker. I was also thinking that it is easy to have a guest on Zoom – they don’t have to speak.

Does the Sunshine Committee need to check in with anyone? Kyle Muenzner wedding and card.

Does anyone have any other club announcements?

Rodney: Reported that the Chamber golf Tournament was amazing; agreed with Mary about the lack of employees and finished with an offer of free expired beer for all.

Barry: Described his Chinese minister’s recount of members being trapped in the jungle of Midway Island with Japanese fleet on one side and US fleet on the other.

Bob: Went to a Yankee Red Sox game, stating to everyone’s agreement “baseball woudn’t be half the fun if we didn’t have the Yankees to play against the Red Sox!”

Gary: Happy to have played golf with Stan and Barry, thanked Rodney for the sandwiches, and happy to see everyone face to face.

Bob Farwell: Loves his Red Sox!
