Norwich Rotary Club
March 30th, 2022
Location-Bella Fiore
THE RONE
Presiding: President Andrew Nollman
Invocation: Gary Young
SEEMS LIKE ALL HUMANS HAVE THIS CONDITION
THAT WHEN GOD SPEAKS-WE REFUSE TO LISTEN
WHEN HE SAYS “GO NORTH-WE HEAD SOUTH
WHEN HE SAYS “SPEAK UP”-WE CLOSE OUR MOUTH
WHEN HE TELLS US TO STAND-WE FALL FLAT ON OUR FACE
WHEN HE SAYS “GO FORTH”-WE STAY IN ONE PLACE
WHEN HE SAYS “KEEP IT STEADY”-WE ROCK THE BOAT
WHEN HE SAYS “YOURS WILL COUNT”-WE REFUSE TO VOTE
WHEN HE SAYS “DO MY WILL”-WE SAY MAYBE TOMORROW
NO WONDER THIS WORLD IS FILLED WITH MUCH SORROW
BUT GOOD NEWS-GOD HAS GIVEN US EACH A CHOICE
AND THINGS WILL BE BETTER IF WE OBEY THAT SMALL VOICE
THE ONE THAT SPEAKS TO US FROM DEEP INSIDE
THE ONE THAT SAYS LET THE LORD BE YOUR GUIDE
NOW LETS GIVE THANKS FOR THE USUAL STUFF
FOR THE FOOD AND THE FELLOWSHIP-ALWAYS MORE THAN ENOUGH
AND UNTIL WE GET TOGETHER AGAIN
LET’S PRAISE THE LORD AND SAY AMEN

*Bill Champagne also gave in memory of Dave Cannon. He also said he has had a Rotary International credit card for many years and was disappointed to be notified that the Bank of America will no longer be offering the card that sent a percentage of the fee’s to Rotary International causes. Bill also congratulated the UConn Women’s Basketball Team on a huge win the other night that sent them to compete in the Final 4 on Friday night.
*Rodney Green gave for an “Egg Story.” This past weekend’s egg order for Old Tymes went up over $24.00 a case! What was usually $1.48 a dozen went up to $2.38 a dozen in one day! Other food costs have risen greatly in the past few weeks!
*Andrew Nollman was happy to report that his new furniture has arrived. His parents are coming north from Florida for the spring and summer. He and his wife have also booked a winter vacation for the first time in many years!

Thankfully 2 years later she is in the 80% category for height and weight for children her age! He also reminded members to bring their bottles and cans for the ARC recycling fundraiser next week!
*Gary Young said he was trying to track down member Larry Fowler and called his former insurance agency to find him. The person on the other end said Larry had retired and moved to Florida.

Following this announcement President Andrew asked all members in attendance the “Why Rotary” question. He asked members to tell why they joined Rotary. There were about 15 members present in the room and a couple via zoom who shared stories on how and why they belong to this organization. That dovetailed to the fact Norwich Rotary needs a President elect and Vice President in order to keep our club charter and remain a club. He asked all members to seriously consider stepping up and serve in those positions.
At 1:15pm Barry Shead led the club with the 4-Way Test and the meeting was adjourned.
Respectfully submitted,
Bob Reed – RONE Reporter
