Presiding: President Andrew Nollman
Invocation: Gary Young –Gary recited an extra special invocation he wrote for the National Day of Prayer. This invocation will be read throughout the state during ceremonies recognizing the National Day of Prayer on May 5th.
ALL ACROSS AMERICA IT’S NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER
AND THIS GATHERING SHOWS THAT PEOPLE DO CARE
THIS COUNTRY NEEDS HELP AND NEEDS IT FAST
SO, LET’S MAKE SURE OUR PRAYERS ARE PRAYERS THAT LAST
THERE ARE SO MANY THINGS THAT WE NEED TO SHAKE UP
LET’S NOT FALL ASLEEP-LORD HELP US WAKE UP
THE JOB ISN’T EASY AND IT KIND OF LARGE
BUT WE’LL GET IT DONE CAUSE THE LORD IS IN CHARGE
LET’S PRAY FOR THE FOLKS DOWN IN WASHINGTON
THEY NEED LOT’S OF HELP-THEIR JOB IS NOT FUN
LET’S PRAY FOR THE CONGRESS AND THE SUPREME COURT
THAT THEY STICK TO THE TRUTH JUST LIKE THEY OUGHT
PRAY FOR THE FOLKS WHOSE JOBS WOULD MAKE MOST PEOPLE NERVOUS
FOR THE MILITARY AND FIRST RESPONDERS-THANKS FOR YOUR SERVICE
FOR TEACHERS AND EDUCATORS-THEIR JOB IS NOT COOL
TRYING TO TEACH OUR KIDS WHILE THEY’RE HOME FROM SCHOOL
LET’S PRAY FOR OUR FAMILIES-FOR COMFORT AND PEACE
FOR DOCTORS AND NURSES WHOSE WORK JUST WON’T CEASE
FOR BUSINESS OWNERS AND TRUCK DRIVERS WHO BRING WHAT WE NEED
FOR MEDIA WHO PROVIDES WHAT WE WATCH AND READ
FOR LOCAL GOVERNMENT-HELP THEM DO THEIR BEST
THEY WAKE UP EVERY DAY BEING PUT TO THE TEST
AND LORD IN OUR HEARTS LET US DAILY SEARCH
FOR GUIDENCE AND DIRECTION FOR EACH GOD-FEARING CHURCH
CAUSE WITHOUT YOUR CHURCH THERE IS NO SURVIVAL
LET’S CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR A NATIONAL REVIVAL
COME ON CHURCH LET GOD’S WORD BE YOUR SWORD
GO OUT THERE, SHINE YOUR LIGHT AND EXHALT THE LORD
ALL THESE THINGS WE ASK WITHOUT GUILT OR SHAME
LET US PRAISE THE LORD IN JESUS NAME

Happy Dollars: – Nancy Gentes
*Nancy said she has been spending some of her leisure time watching the NBA playoffs and the Boston Celtics.
*Rodney Green said that some firemen from the Greeneville Fire Station stopped by the Chestnut Street Playhouse looking for old fire memorabilia that may have come from the Greeneville Station and ended up at the CSP. The CSP used to be the Main Fire Station for the City of Norwich in its prior life. Rodney got permission from the CSP Board they allowed any old memorabilia could be donated to the Greenville Firemen for their display they are creating at their firehouse museum.
*Jeff Bruning gave to thank Mary Richardson for stepping in as President-Elect. His boat will have to wait a little longer to be launched as he is coaching his daughter’s softball team. They just had a big game over the weekend but lost 13 to 9. He was happy to report there was no crying!
*Barry Shead thanked everyone for the birthday wishes and song. He joined the meeting via Zoom and was enjoying fried clams! He looks forward to seeing everyone at tonight’s whisky event!
*Mike Cooney whished Barry a happy birthday and said he was busy over the weekend coaching his son’s baseball team and then hiking with the Boy Scouts.
*Gary Young played tennis the day before and sadly at the ball field next to the tennis courts there were parents behaving badly at their kid’s baseball game. He reminded that he is having a Barn/Yard sale on May 20th and 21st. Gary is also lining up some sports memorabilia for the golf tournament.
*Rene Simao was happy to be at today’s meeting and said no one knows what’s in store so enjoy every day.
*Ray Baribault gave $20.00 and said it was good to see everyone!
