ANNOUNCEMENTS Stan Lucas announced that we had good representation at the Foundation Dinner last week and he hopes that several can attend the District Conference in May. Stan also announced that we have been invited to help celebrate Old Saybrook’s 75th Anniversary at a dinner on March 23. Stan has the info for any who are interested.
LINDA’S AUCTION Sandy offered a nice selection of goodies left over from the Backus hospital Golf tournament and David Cannon outbid the competition. Cal Lord offered two rotten tomatoes and complimentary seats to the production of “You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown” at the Donald Oat Theater. Joel Etra and Larry Fowler picked up the tickets.
LOTTERY With four cards left Brett Bernardini picked the card to the left of the winner. Mike Gordon walked away with the jackpot and asked us not to share how much he had won with Joan! (About $480)

Al Saitas introduced Marc Bokoff, an active Rotarian, as our guest speaker. Marc shared how the travel industry had changed over the years, especially in light of September 11th, the great expansion of the internet and the changes in the way the industry itself works. He also told us that there are hopeful signs that the travel industry is making a comeback.
